Superfoods are foods that are so full of healthful components that they are used medicinally. Jeffrey Yuen, an 87th generation Taoist master says the only difference between foods used as medicine and herbs used medicinally is that food tastes good.  Superfoods then are excellent choices to replace nutrient depleting processed food. Processed foods fill your body with chemicals and 'filler's that your body must neutralize and then remove.  I've read that Americans eat on average 15 pounds of filler a year.
